The tournament will be held at Prince Edward School, hosting a total of 12 matches over four days from the 5th to the 8th of December. There is no outright winner in the tournament as this is part of Zimbabwe Cricket’s strategy of providing opportunities for exposure to developing under-13 teams and to provide a platform for potential national under-13 national players to perform and compete.
Head of Media and communications at Zimbabwe Cricket, Shingai Rhuhwaya-Koti, lauded the annual tournament, highlighting the significance of the event to the nation.
“This is the first step in every Zimbabwean player’s path to the national team. The majority of the national team players we have today took the same path and we will continue to improve the competitiveness of our junior cricket and create more opportunities for development in the country,” said Rhuhwaya-Koti.
