Fans and cricket enthusiasts will this year have the opportunity to vote for their Player of the Year at the 2012 edition of the Zimbabwe Cricket Awards.

Zimbabwe Cricket has set up voting platforms one its website as well as through popular social networking platforms.

"We decided that the awards would be a perfect opportunity to find out what Zimbabwe's cricket community thinks makes an all-round good cricketer. The criteria for the other awards is  set by an elite judging panel and based strictly on performance statistics as well as other considerations such as development and the spirit of cricket," said ZC's General Manager for Media and Public Affairs, Shingai Rhuhwaya. "The People's Choice Awards is something quite different in that the criteria used is left entirely up to the fans of Zimbabwean cricket."

Every one who makes a nomination on any of the platforms will stand a chance to win two tickets to the awards cocktail to be held in Harare on the 10th of November. Terms & Conditions Apply.

People can nominate a player using either of the following platforms:
1.    Send an email with the subject line "Nomination" and ONE NAME ONLY to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
2.    Go to ZC's Facebook Group ZimCricket Backstage and post ONE NAME ONLY as a comment on the Awards Post that appears at the top.
3.    Tweet ONE NAME ONLY to Zimbabwe Cricket's Twitter account zcTweets.
