LOGAN CUP MATCH: MATABELELAND TUSKERS v MASHONALAND EAGLES
Day 4: 23 November 2012, at Queens Sports Club, Bulawayo
Result: Tuskers (143 & 518/8 dec) beat Eagles (245 & 104) by 312 runs.
A one hundred percent home record is what Matabeleland Tuskers now have after three wins in three Logan Cup matches at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.
This time, Tuskers needed less than three overs to wrap up their third win in a row, and leave Eagles without success in the Logan Cup tournament this season.
Captain Keegan Meth removed Kyle Jarvis (3) and with Prosper Utseya unable to bat due to injury, the game was over no sooner than it had started on day four.
The brilliant Tuskers batting display in the second innings and their excellent bowling laid the foundation for the comprehensive victory.
Meth was the pick of the Tuskers bowlers, finishing with five wickets for 42 runs in 15.5 overs, eight of them maiden. Glenn Querl got three for 43 runs in 13 overs and Sean Williams one wicket.
Tuskers have won their first three games at home in defence of their Logan Cup title, and begin their road trip with a game at Rhinos next week.
