The Zimbabwe squad for the International Cricket Council Under-19 Cricket World Cup continues with its preparations in Harare this week.
The squad is playing matches against a selection of the country’s top players, ahead of the global youth cricket showcase, which will be in the United Arab Emiates from the 14th of February to the 1st of March.
The first 50-over match was on Monday, the second on Tuesday and the third on Wednesday – all at Harare Sports Club.
Playing for the select squad are Tafadzwa Kamungozi, Shingirai Masakadza, Forster Mutizwa, Taurai Muzarabani and Vusimuzi Sibanda, among others.
The Zimbabwe under-19 squad will leave Harare on Friday the 7th of February, for the World Cup. The travelling squad: Malcolm Lake (captain), Sean Bell, Ryan Burl, Herbert Chikomba, Kieran Geyle, Joylord Gumbie, Shoun Handirisi, Dylan Hondo, Luke Jongwe (vice-captain), Tinashe Kanhukamwe, Charles Kunje, Patrick Mambo, Cuthbert Musoko, Tarisai Musakanda and Mkhululi Nyathi.
Reserves: Clive Chitumba, Brandon Diplock, Carl Mumba and Nicholas Welch.
