The domestic season will resume on Monday the 10th of February 2014, with a Twenty20 tournament in Harare.
All the country’s five franchises will play each other with the top two making it to the final on Saturday.
The six-day competition will help with Zimbabwe’s preparations for the International Cricket Council World Twenty20 tournament, beginning in Bangladesh next month.
Meanwhile, the players will continue with their practice either with their franchises, or the national squad where applicable. Those in the national squad will meet at Harare Sports Club on Tuesday, where they will have fielding drills starting at 1000 in the morning and a fitness session at 1530 hours. They will continue with similar workouts for the rest of the week.
Zimbabwe Cricket chairman Peter Chingoka and managing director Wilfred Mukondiwa met senior players, player representative Eliah Zvimba and the national team technical staff on Friday afternoon.
All the parties at the meeting which was held at the Harare Sports Club agreed to move forward together.
The ZC chairman told the meeting that arrangements have been put in place to pay all the outstanding salaries and match fees.
The players’ representative welcomed the announcement, saying the payment of outstanding dues will remove the sole issue that has been between ZC and the players.
