Zimbabwe beat Australia by three wickets, in their first round warm-up match for the International Cricket Council Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
Batsman Ryan Burl top-scored with 60 runs for Zimbabwe, in the match against the 2012 losing finalists, which was at the Abu Dhabi Oval 1.
There are eight more warm-up matches on Wednesday, with Zimbabwe meeting hosts United Arab Emirates at the Sevens 1 in Dubai. Team manager Nicholas Singo expressed hope that captain Malcolm Lake, who has been battling a cold, will recover in time for the match.
The ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup tournament proper will begin on Friday, with the first round matches.
Zimbabwe will play Canada in their first Group C match. Other sides in the group are South Africa and the West Indies.
