The focus of Zimbabwe’s efforts currently is preparation for the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Twenty20 tournament in Bangladesh starting in March.
After the tournament, Zimbabwe will shift attention to preparing for the ICC Cricket World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2015, while also fulfilling its commitments under the ICC Future Tours Programme.
Under the Future Tours Programme, South Africa will visit Zimbabwe in August, for a Test match and three One-Day International (ODI) matches. To help with preparations for the 2015 World Cup, the tour will be followed by a triangular ODI series involving the Castle Lager Proteas and Australia, which will run into September.
The triangular will see the three sides play each other twice, with the top two teams meeting in the final.
