Day 2 Castle Logan Cup played at Harare Sports Club: Mashonaland Eagles (335) beat Southern Rocks (98 and (following on) 148 by an innings and 89 runs.
Southern Rocks hit rock bottom today as they went down to a humiliating innings defeat at the hands of Mashonaland Eagles in only two days.

Another fine century from Forster Mutizwa of Mashonaland Eagles, well backed by Regis Chakabva, dominated the first day’s play at Harare Sports Club in the match against Southern Rocks.

Result: Mashonaland Eagles (178) lost to Southern Rocks (166/6) by 11 runs (Duckworth-Lewis).
This was a tight match on a rather uncooperative pitch where fine innings by Chamu Chibhabha and Tendai Chisoro proved the vital factor for Southern Rocks, who won by Duckworth-Lewis calculations in bad light at about ten minutes to six.

The national under-14 boys’ team will be travelling to South Africa to take part in the Standard Bank Under -13 Cricket Week in East London. A squad of 13 players will leave Harare on Saturday the 10th of December for the annual tournament which runs from the 11th to the 15th of December 2011.
