Eagles and Rhinos to host Kenya

Zimbabwe domestic franchises, Mashonaland Eagles and the MidWest Rhinos are set to host the Kenyan national cricket team for a Twenty20 tour of Zimbabwe. Kenya will send a 16-man squad to Zimbabwe after touring their visit to Namibia also as part of their November preparation for next year's World Twenty20 qualifying tournament.

New Zealand won by 34 runs

Zimbabwe gave New Zealand an almighty scare on a thrilling final day of their Test match, but lost their last seven wickets in the final session to go down by 34 runs at Queens Sports Club.

Paul Horton's experience at Tuskers

No overseas player has given more to his franchise than Paul Horton has to Matabeleland Tuskers.  He has an excellent record as he has done his job for them as opening batsman, compiling runs in a highly professional way and providing stability at the top of their batting order.  Indeed, last season he averaged just over 70 runs per innings in nine matches, finishing second in the national batting averages, just behind Hamilton Masakadza.

Glenn Querl Tuskers new swing bowler

Glenn Querl, the new Matabeleland Tuskers swing bowler, has achieved a rare feat in taking 18 wickets (and for only 140 runs) in his first two first-class matches.  He took nine each against Southern Rocks at Masvingo and now another nine, for only 39 runs, against the previously invincible Mashonaland Eagles at Harare Sports Club.
